An IT programme manager is lacing up his walking boots ahead of a mammoth 300-mile trek along England's waterways.
Starting on 25th April, Michael Sheridan is walking from his current home near the River Wey in Guildford to a new home in Marple, Cheshire, close to the Peak Forest Canal. Following the Thames Path to London, he plans to continue his journey northwards along canal towpaths – a journey he expects to take around a month
On the way he'll be raising money and generating publicity for the Forgiveness Project, a charity that collects and shares real-life stories of forgiveness from around the world. The organisation helps people to reconcile themselves with emotional trauma and pain, and move on in their lives.
