Negotiating Price

Hi, has anybody any experience of buying a widebeam saleaway and negotiating the build price. Do you find any of the suppliers have room for negotiation? Many thanks.

WW says:

Most boatbuilders don't make much money on sailaways or shells... so there is limited room for negotiation, though it's often worth attempting- the worst they can say is no. However expect any reduction to be in the order of hundreds rather than thousands of pounds... what you may be able to negotiate easier is the level of supplied equipment/finishes to fitted components, etc.
