exide batteries

does two 6 volt 180 amp exide batteries when put together make 12volts and add up to 260amps when put together?

WW says:

You can add the batteries to either increase the voltage, or increase the stored capacity (the "amps").
If you link the the positive on battery one to the negative on battery two, you will put them in series- so raising the voltage to 12V (and a storage of 180 amp hours).
If you connect the positive to positive, you will have a battery bank of 6V, but a capacity of 360 amp-hours.
Hope that helps!
