Ironworks Company

Do you know anything about the Ironworks Company, which is named as builder of my 1989 57ft narrowboat? I have searched extensively, but I can find no reference to them, which is a pity as the boat seems to be quite well put together, currently moored at Wenlock Basin in Hackney.
Many thanks in advance

WW says:

The only reference I have been able to find is that they were built in the open in a yard in Nazeing near Broxbourne.
If this is the case your boat is not far from home!

It was an old entry on one of the forums, sorry not sure which one, but there was not really anymore info.
Suggest that you chat to some of the local boaters and yards.

Hi Rupert
Many thanks for that! Can you let me know what reference was? I had a look at Nazeing, and only found Lee Valley boats. I did send them an email.....
I agree, we are not so far from the area you mention, and in fact my daughter (who is a continuous cruiser, currently on her way to Bristol!) was recently mooring in the river Lee area.
Thanks again, and best regards
Andrew
